The Lehigh Concert Band is almost back.

Rehearsals will start Tuesday November 1st for the upcoming 2016-17 season, and be split between the annex of Faith Lutheran church, and New Life Assembly of God. Band practice will always start at 7:00 P.M. # and finish @ 9:00 P.M. and is open to concert band musicians who play at a senior high school, college level or above. Musicians visiting the area are also encouraged to sit in and play with the band.

We have selected some great music for this our 37th year of bringing music to our local community. You are going to hear some Dixieland, some Broadway musicals, some Gershwin, instrumental solos, some light upbeat music, some impressively difficult music, and of course some marches, marches, marches. Last season the band was able to increase both it’s membership and the audience and we are hoping to keep those gains and grow even more this year. The band will schedule a Christmas event at Fountain Crest and the Lehigh Senior’s Center and work with the Chamber of Commerce to support their events.

The CD that was recorded at our 2 April concert will be available at our November concert and will be free of charge to our Patrons of the Band.

The band is always looking for enthusiastic musicians of all ages who enjoy getting together to create a combined sound that is music to our audience’s ears. This season we will be focusing on having more fun with our audiences and trying to grow our strong group of regular concert goers that support local music in our area.

Sooo . . . . if you play now, or have played in the past, a musical instrument at a high school, college level or above, and are looking for somewhere to express your talent in a fun, no stress environment with others like you, we invite you to come and check us out on Tuesdays at 7:00 P.M. Contact the President for rehearsal location.

Orrrr . . . . if you enjoy listening to a wide variety of concert music performed by local musicians who live in your neighborhood, we invite you to come and listen to one of our concerts and enjoy the feeling music can bring to your life.
