About

The Southwest Florida Concert Band is a community band that performs in the Southwest Florida area to bring music and joy to the local residents. We perform at festivals, churches and retirements homes as a full concert band or in small groups.

It is a registered non-profit organization that has existed since 1979 and provides the opportunity for residents of Southwest Florida to join together to perform free concerts and support ceremonial occasions in its local area. The Band’s musical season is from October to April and it rehearses weekly in order to present a concert at least once per month.

The mission of the Band is to promote the love of music and develop music appreciation through the rehearsal and performance of concert band music in the Southwest Florida community. Membership in the Band is open to everyone, regardless of race, age, gender, or creed, and can be as a musician or also as a patron, or friend.

If you love music like we do, we offer you the opportunity to meet interesting people and perform concerts for appreciative audiences. We are open to any concert band musician who can play at a senior high school or college level or above. For further information contact the President Diane Boudreau at 239-666-5970 or e-mail at President@SWFLConcertBand.org. We have immediate openings for percussion, trombone, and clarinet as well as other instruments. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings at 6:45 P.M.

Become a Patron of the Band

Patrons of the Band will be mentioned at concerts and will have recognition in the program. There are several levels of recognition for patrons to reflect the amount of support they have given to assist the Band in its ability to carry out its mission. Funding will be applied to hall rental for rehearsals and concerts, purchase of music and equipment, and ongoing administrative costs to produce programs and information for the Band.
